Time to re-up my mask rec!

So, with BA.5 coming to a town near you, I thought I’d take a minute and reiterate my recommendation of the 3M Aura N95 mask.

They are easy to fit for just about any face shape, exceptionally comfortable, do NOT fog up your glasses, and are currently pretty widely available.

The link above for Amazon has a 3, 10, and 20 pack boxes, and they’re all individually wrapped.

The only downside I’ve encountered with them is summertime sweaty face – which has been inevitable with every mask I’ve used. So, I’d recommend you keep a pack of your preferred facial towelettes in the car or your bag. (Burt’s Bees Grapefruit wipes FTW.)

So, stay safe out there, it’s still a mess.

Aside from the sweaty face, these are the BEST…and they’re free at pharmacies! Whenever I pass a CVS, I run in and grab three more. I have a little stockpile now — most locations are begging people to take extra — so let me know if you need some mailed.

Alas, I need to buy earloop KN95s for my biology lab this semester, so I’ll miss the comfort and security of the Aura. But only for six hours a week. :)

I’m well stocked up for a while, but thank you! If our CVS’s have free ones, they’re either well hidden or going quickly – I don’t think I’ve ever seen them there.

You have to ask for “the free N95s” — corporate policy. Ask at the pharmacy desk first, then at checkout if they say they have none.

Some stores are super strict about giving only three, but at this point most are handing you a small bag just to clear them out. With all of my parents’ appointments at the hospital, it’s been a huge help for us. I take extras and put them in the Little Free Pantries around town to save them from the dumpster.

Ahhhh, that would be why I hadn’t seen them!
