So cook time is 25 minutes, plus egg wash, then 5-10 minutes more.
I skipped the egg wash and did 35 minutes, forgetting from prior experience that 30 works better.
The inside is VERY tasty! The outside is…VERY crusty, ROFL.
I think I may do another loaf tomorrow with a butter wash for the last 5 minutes as the interwebs tell me that will give a softer crust. (I always forget how easy this is to make – the actual prep time is maybe 15 minutes – all the rest of it is letting dough rise.)
But, hey right now, saw off a slice, peel off the crust (it comes off quite neatly) and slather it in butter and YUM.
