It’s only Tuesday

And I am knackered. Not great sleep last night, and I’m not really sure why other than general post-root canal malaise.

But, short day today as I give acupuncture a swing this afternoon – I’m very excited, and while I don’t expect instant results, it would be great if we could do something about the fact that I carry all my tension in my head/neck/jaw and it’s making my teeth fucking MOVE.

And when I scheduled the appointment, I didn’t realize my root canal was going to be a two-part deal with the second half the day before – so I asked if I should reschedule, and she said, “Oh, I do work on folks after root canals all the time, not a problem, if your face is still sore, we can work around it.” Awesome.

I’ve used self-administered acupressure before and it worked (it’s hard & awkward, but it works) so why not go full acupuncture?

Moving to the Olympics, while I don’t exactly know what happened this morning, I do at least know that a certain gymnast I was terribly worried about did *not* break her neck, so I can actually watch that tonight. Go Simone! (I really hope she just took every last twisting move out of her routine.)

Well, time to go do the thing to pay for the acupuncture to hopefully solve the problems that were partially caused by Doing The Thing. Life under capitalism is fantastic.

You have an awesome day.

Yep, she took out the twists, so you don’t have to watch through your fingers tonight. 🙂 That was the only event where she could realistically do that, so I’m delighted for her that it was last on the schedule.

My smile is misaligned now and I’m developing an overbite thanks to all my grinding and clenching. Keep us posted on your treatment! I don’t typically do “alternative” methods, but I’m willing to try anything at this point. My sister says it helps with her MS-related jaw pain. Fingers crossed for you!

Yeah, I looked around and really couldn’t see any other practice where “Oh, I carry my tension here and I don’t want to” was really something that could be addressed. A friend had ankle issues and has sworn by the treatment, and its worked for the Chinese for 3000 years, so why not?

And glad to hear I can really watch Miss B in action, I was really thinking, “I am not going to be able to watch this.” (I was terrified watching her vault knowing that was when she decided to pull out.)

Oh, and: sorry if my liking of every single pro-Simone tweet caused your feed to spoil anything!
