What lovely boozy & artsy weekend!

We had a great time at the local beer festival yesterday and I got some art!! Love that this is at the Workhouse Arts Center – you can try all the beers AND walk through the galleries and see all the wonderful art.

They also had an art battle – 3 rounds with a theme and the artists had 45 minutes to create something and my god, they made some amazing things. And you could get raffle tickets and enter for the art you liked – AND I WON! The photo doesn’t do it justice, I just love it.

An extremely vibrant painting of two pink tigers, one laying down in the foreground with its back to the viewer, looking to its left, and the other standing behind it, looking forward at the viewer, with a green and blue background.

It’s by Serina Chowdhury and the fact that she put this together in 45 minutes is still astounding to me. I just love it.

I also picked up a piece by Helena O’Neill – I love all her work and I have another small piece by her as well. She is the featured artist at the Arches gallery, and it’s so well deserved.

A collage of a grey-green frog with a black and blue background. The collage pieces are very small, giving a mosaic effect

And in shocking turn of events, I even know where I am putting both of these!
